Original, innovative? Get out of here! Black Bottle Riot doesn't need that. This is rock on cowboy boots, and what kind of rock! Rock that everybody likes although it is hardly played like this anymore, sadly enough. This foursome from Nijmegen is raised on the blues, country, & classic rock music. Citing Lynyrd Skynyrd, Led Zeppelin, ZZ Top and Black Sabbath as major influences, they’ve obviously taken their lessons to heart. Take single Bright Lights Big City, covered many times, by The Animals amongst others, yet the rockers from Nijmegen give it their own twist. Black Bottle Riot rocks, they punch, they thump, and it can't be stressed enough how solid the pumping rhythm section is. Their self titled debut album is just released and perfectly fits with their rock trinity label mates Shaking Godspeed and Automatic Sam. Fist in the air, a sip of Jack Daniels, throw some unwashed hair around and beat those boots four times to the floor, that's what you call a Black Bottle Riot party.
